The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) is delighted to announce that Mr Vivekananda Neelakantan will be the Registrar of SIAC with effect from 1 January 2025.
Vivek will take over from Kevin Nash who is leaving us to pursue other opportunities. We are very grateful to Kevin for everything that he has done for SIAC since 2012 and wish him the very best in his new endeavours. We have no doubt that he will do very well, as he always has with SIAC.
Vivek rejoined SIAC in 2023 as Deputy Registrar. Before that, he distinguished himself in private practice, both as counsel and arbitrator, earning accolades internationally. In his time with SIAC, Vivek has displayed outstanding leadership qualities. We have no doubt that he will further enhance SIAC’s case management and other offerings as Registrar.
Chairman of the SIAC Board, Davinder Singh SC, said, “We are pleased that Vivek will be our new Registrar. We all look forward to working with him and benefitting from his ideas, energy and passion for SIAC’s mission. We have the fullest confidence that he and our CEO Gloria Lim and the excellent SIAC team will take SIAC to even greater heights. I would like to thank Kevin for his many years and invaluable contributions to SIAC, and wish him the very best.”
President of the SIAC Court, Lucy Reed, said, “Vivek’s taking the helm as Registrar will ensure a smooth transition and continuity in SIAC’s case management functions, supported by our team of multi-national common and civil lawyers, who – like Kevin and Vivek – are an absolute delight to work with.”
